Photos and Commentary

  • This blog is mostly devoted to photography. I'm still learning, and each photograph I take teaches me more about how to do it better the next time.

I like this quote by Jacques-Henri Lartigue: “I take photographs with love, so I try to make them art objects. But I make them for myself first and foremost - that is important.”

Military Reinactments

Posted by blueheronbobcat on March 15, 2010

Attended the Tico Warbirds Airshow in Titusville, Fl. recently. There was a little camp set up on the grounds to mimic a wartime camp. Unfortunately the modern jets in the background don’t always coincide with the WWII uniforms of the soldiers, but there wasn’t a good angle to take photographs without getting something modern in the background.

I think it looks good, even with the modern airplanes in the background!

HDR with people! It gives the photo a three dimensional effect. It makes the scene more dramatic. Good work!
